Hey, I’m GomezGani.
I am from Mzuzu, Malawi, and I’m studying for my BSc in Data Science at Mzuzu University. I don’t just crunch numbers or write code—I build things that solve real problems. Whether it’s helping smallholder farmers predict their harvests, designing credit scoring tools for people who’ve never had a bank account, or creating systems that turn data into actionable insights, I’m all about turning ideas into impact.
I love the messy, hands-on side of data science—the kind that goes from messy spreadsheets to a working model, from a proof of concept to a dashboard people actually use. I’m just as comfortable training a machine learning model as I am deploying it, or setting up the infrastructure to keep it running. And if a problem needs a full-stack solution, a blockchain twist, or a security layer? I’ll dig in.
For me, data science isn’t about algorithms—it’s about solving problems that matter, especially in Malawi and across Sub-Saharan Africa. I’m always on the lookout for challenges that push me to learn and build something meaningful, whether that’s locally or on a global scale.
Let’s build something that changes things for the better.
